PURPOSE OF STUDENT COUNCIL

Student Council is an organization managed by students and supervised by teachers.  The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.  In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body and the Prefects’ Council is made up of the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice-Captain, House Captains, and the House Prefects. The prefects of the school are selected by the teachers and the House In charges. The Prefects’ Council is advised and guided by the house in-charges and discipline in-charges. The members of the Prefects’ Council work together as a team to uphold the rules and regulations of the school and help to maintain discipline. Through their work as prefects they learn the valuable lesson that with authority comes with responsibilities and its associated challenges. The Students’ Council is the first step towards our goal of creating conscientious and responsible global citizens.

 1 UDAY X A  PRAKASH HOUSE  (HEAD BOY) The head girl and the head boy are the chair persons of the student council. They are responsible for everything concerning the welfare of our school: be it discipline, management of school events and addressing the concerns of the students. They happen to be the representative of the students and are responsible to bring up the grievances of the students to the teachers and the management level. They shall act as the intermediary between teachers and students of the school.
